Crockpot Barbecue Chicken

My favorite kind of meals are those made in the crockpot! When I left for school one of the best gifts I received was my crockpot. My mom always used to make barbecue chicken when I was growing up and it was always one of my absolute favorite meals to eat! So the first meal I ever made in my crockpot was barbecue chicken. This recipe is my moms, but I tweaked it a little. It is so easy and oh so yummy. I hope if you try to make it, that you will enjoy it just as much as I do!

Ingredients:
            • Four (or more) Chicken breasts
            • Sweet Baby Ray's Barbecue sauce
            • Garlic Salt
            • Brown Sugar
            • White Vinegar
            • Minced onions (optional)
Step 1:
Combine 1/3 cup vinegar, BBQ Sauce, 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt,
1 tablespoon minced onions(if used) and 1/4 cup of brown sugar
into bowl and mix up.
Step 2:
Turn crockpot on high and Layer the bottom of the crockpot
with the sauce mix:
Step 3:
Place chicken on top and then poor the rest of the sauce mix
over it.
Step 4:

Chalkboard DIY:

When I first moved into my apartment I knew the one thing I wanted to decorate with was a chalkboard!!! After months of searching for the perfect one I gave up and decided I wanted to make my own. Every one I found was either way to expensive or not the size I was looking for. So therefor I came up with my first "DO IT YOURSELF" project for the apartment. After loads of research I came up with this:

I purchased a frame from Hobby Lobby and bought a board
from and got it cut at Home Depot:

First step is to pick the color for the frame, I chose red
and spray painted it:

Next paint the board with chalkboard paint, this paint
is the best to use:

After that place the black board into the frame (Home
Depot will cut it perfectly to fit into the frame):

I had so much fun making this one that I decided to make and sell them! If you are interested you can buy one HERE on my Etsy account! I am already working on some for my friends! If interested please buy one... If not hopefully this DIY will help you. Any other ideas on how to make a chalkboard? Comment below!

Summertime at last!

So now that summer is finally here I am totally stoked for the new summer wear that is out! I have posted some of my favorite things that I have my eye on. For me, this summer is all about colors! Now, for those of you college gals like me we have to shop on a budget! Therefor, I found most of my favorite things in a budget at my fav store TARGET! I do not think I have been in there one time without buying something.... I have included the direct links to each item! Anyways here are a few of my favorites:

Essie Nail polish:
I think Essie is my favorite nail polish brand. They always have the
cutest and most colorful selections. I love every single one of these
colors, all of which can be found at Target or on the Essie Website
I think my favorite color out of all these is Naughty Nautical. Which
is the color found at the very end.
Fedora:
In my opinion, buying a Fedora should be number one on every girl's
summer wear list! I just got one recently and have been sporting it almost every
day. I purchased mine at TJ Maxx. The one above can be found at Target
It is the MUST have accessory for the summer.

Cute Bathing Suits:
What more can I say? Having a cute bathing suit is probably the Number One
item on everyone's summer list. I love how fun the ruffles are on both of these suits.
I am also becoming a little obsessed with stripes! And who doesn't love chevron?
These cute bathing suits can be found at Target!

Ruffle Back Tank:

I absolutely love this shirt! I love the open back. So cute to pair with some white
shorts, jeans, or capris. It is from one of my favorite boutiques: The Red Dress Boutique.
There are so many different colors to choose from and I wish I could buy one in every
single color. If you want to check them out go here!
